Environmentally friendly hot rot composting process

We recycle plant waste such as grass, branches and leaves using the hot rot composting process. In this, the plant waste is expertly layered in stacks. The material is then left to mature for several weeks. The temperature inside a stack is between 50° and 70°C. This kills off any plant seeds and unwanted germs. The final result of the process is a high-quality compost that can be used to improve the soil for gardening and agricultural purposes. Högl composts even provide sufficient nutrients for crops that require a high level of nutrients, such as hops and asparagus.

High-quality compost

Högl composts are pure, natural products. They meet the strict quality criteria of the Bundesgütegemeinschaft Kompost e.V. You can use our composts in ecological agriculture, for basic fertilization, for example.
